Our first time at Andrade's. The interior of the restaurant is stunning! From the chandelier in front of the bar to the spacious expanse of the seating gallery, the decor is colorful and tasteful. A beautiful mural covers the wall, together with very soft music creates the ambience you expect without being gaudy or obnoxious like many Mexican restaurants. The service is impeccable, a very sweet young lady was at the entrance ready to seat us. The waitress was charming and attentive. The food was served promptly and was delicious and hot. Beautiful plating, with tasty components such as mexican potatoes with melted cheese, and best of all, refried beans that were not watered down! They tasted like pinto beans, and were warm with melted cheese in just the right amount. My husband had Especial De Javier #4, grilled, bacon wrapped prawns with peppers, onions & olives served in tortillas. He was quite happy with the dish. I enjoyed the perfect amount of heat in my chili relleno. Everything home-made, we will definitely be back!!!
We have tried so many items on the menu and they are always so so good! A few years back when they changed locations their service got really poor so we quit going for a while, but it seems as though they have worked out the kinks! We were seated immediately and had a nice time on the patio. Glad we chose to give it another shot; we will be back!
**5 Stars: Best Margarita in Boise - If You Dare!** This place boasts the *best* margarita in Boise. What they don't mention is that one sip feels like a direct hit from a tequila tsunami. After just 1/4 of my drink, I was contemplating calling NASA to report unidentified flying objects. Couldn't even finish half of it without risking my driver's license. If you go, bring a designated driver or a sleeping bag. Cheers!
Great food, great service, pleasant ambiance. I love the Andrade vibe! People there are very nice. That matters.
La mejor comida mexicana los tacos de al pastor mis favoritos El servicio muy bueno y un ambiente muy agradable
Our second time here- we specifically stopped in Boise so we could eat here again. We were totally satisfied with that decision. I had the chile relleno again, because I had been dreaming about them since we ate here last. They were even better than I remembered. Hubby had puerco de la abuela- also fantastic. Can't wait to get back to Boise to come back here.
Came here to grab some takeout for the weekend. When I showed up I thought I had the wrong address, as there were no cars in the parking lot... turns out it was just really slow that day. Anyway, I was greeted and I asked if I could put in an order for takeout. They said of course and seated me at the bar while I looked at the menu. Everything looked really tasty, but I settled on the Pollo Jalapeño. I had a beer while I was waiting and I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. Very bright and open, and I could see it getting pretty lively when it's busy. I got my order and drove home. When I picked the bag up and started walking I felt something shift in the bag, and noticed liquid pooling in the bottom of the bag. Crap! The Styrofoam container didn't have the strength to hold the weight of the dish, and the food ended up in the bottom of the bag. It was a mess. I was able to salvage everything and it was quite good, but having to scrape everything out and pile onto a plate like slop sucked. I'd definitely eat here again, but hopefully they'll invest in some better takeout containers than what they have now.
Inside out: their new location has ample parking- but no shade. The building is new with an open design and a high ceiling. A mural that I personally love, covers one whole wall! My husband and a friend enjoyed looking for all the little details. The colors inside are bright and the place is decorated in a fun way (the swing seat was a little odd for me - everything else was fine.) the plants are fantastic, and the fountain is lovely to stand by when you walk in! Service: fast friendly, nothing to complain about. Food: everything I've had here is absolutely delicious, the friends I've gone with agree. Fish tacos, chimichangas, burritos, and even the desserts like fried ice cream. Overall I would say it's a good experience, but I am extremely miffed when I go there and find out that I have to pay $4.25 or so for a single fish street taco, honestly tacos are one of my favorite things to get and I just don't see myself able to spend that much when I can get them for less and get more other places.
Service was attentive without being obtrusive My dining companion's refried beans were the best he's ever had. My Mole was the best I've had. Portions are worth what you pay. The main detractor is the building is cavernous so sound travels which makes conversation a little challenging especially if you're hard of hearing.
